Biography

I have twenty-eight years of experience in higher education including: project administration, program evaluation and assessment, accreditation management, teaching, and faculty development. A senior administrator with an accomplished record of leadership and program development, I collaborate with faculty on assessment, strategic planning and curriculum development and approval. I have designed, implemented and evaluated programs and initiatives to promote student success, assess student learning, and monitor institutional effectiveness. As 51动漫鈥檚 Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO), I work regularly with internal governing bodies, and external governing and accrediting bodies. I have consulted with 2- and 4-year colleges and universities on designing and implementing comprehensive plans and processes for assessing student learning and institutional effectiveness and accreditation management. My early career work centered on the development, implementation and assessment of learning communities, freshman seminars and other first-year experience programs. In 2014-15, I served as co-PI for 51动漫鈥檚 participation in the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) Transformational Planning Grant project. 51动漫鈥檚 work focused on holistic approaches to student success, most notably a new admissions pathway for students who show potential for success but do not test well. The grant also allowed for exploration of use of non-cognitive factors in development of student success and retention initiatives. Since early 2014, I have led 51动漫鈥檚 implementation of Fly in 4, a campus-wide program to limit student debt and the costs of college by increasing the number of students who graduate in four years.
