You’ll have the opportunity to build and design tools at the and use them to observe and study celestial motions, cyclesÌýand mechanics.ÌýÌý

Work directly with faculty members whose expertise includes big data analysis, dark matter studies and neutrino physics. Mentorship opportunities for undergraduate students include both formal undergraduate research and informal professional development.Ìý

Students enrolled in this undergraduate certificateÌýprogram willÌýÌýÌý

  • analyze the major experiments and measurements that led to our current understanding of stellar structure, stellar evolutionÌýand big bang cosmology;Ìý

  • create and design instruments such as preciseÌýsundials used to observe astrophysical phenomena;Ìý
