Health Policy and Management MPH Admissions

Admissions Requirements

The MPH in Health Policy and Management program is offered in-person and online. The same admissions process applies to both programs.

You must have a bachelor鈥檚 degree from an accredited institution to be considered for admission. A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 is required.听There are no prerequisites to apply to the MPH program at 51动漫, but strong grades in mathematics and/or statistics, social sciences and writing are preferred.

All applicants will be automatically considered for available merit-based scholarships at the time they are reviewed for admission.听Students will be notified if they are in receipt of such scholarships either at the time of admission or very shortly thereafter.

Write a well-considered 500-1,000 word statement of purpose that articulates your interests in public health and this program in particular. Please craft your statement to specifically address the following items.

Your interests in public health and why you are planning to pursue an MPH.
Your future career goals and what you have done either academically or professionally to guide your interest in public health.
The MPH concentration you are applying to and why.
Any exceptional circumstances related to previous academic performance that you would like the admissions committee to know about.

Additional Requirements for International Students

TOEFL:聽For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL is required with a minimum score of 79 on the iBT. These scores should be sent officially to SOPHAS using the SOPHAS-specific TOEFL code of:聽5688.
A 聽is required for applicants who completed their degree outside of the United States. This can be requested and submitted through SOPHAS.

Laptop Requirement

Laptops are integrated into the curriculum at the College of Public Health to improve opportunities for active learning and provide greater access to specialized software and required tools in and out of the classroom. Incoming students are required to have a laptop that meets certain minimum hardware specifications. .
