Fieldwork &Â Internships
The BS in Kinesiology does not contain formal, required practical experiences as part of the program. However, this is an invaluable aspect of becoming a competitive job candidate after graduation, and all students in the program are encouraged to take a leading role in identifying and pursuing opportunities to gain practical, real-world experience while they are undergraduates. Such experiences could take the form of formal internships, shadowing a professional or volunteering.
Faculty members and academic advisors are highly involved in students’ professional development. They will guide students through the process of pursuing practical experience and might be able to utilize their professional connections to help students secure opportunities that match their interests and goals.
