The Tyler experience is defined in part by access to exceptional facilities. Graduate students have the space, the technology and the tools they need to go wherever their creative vision takes them, includingÂ
- dedicated practice studio spaces for architecture, environmental design, and graphic and interactive design graduate students; and Â
- individual practice studios for MFA students.Ìý
Tyler's 255,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility on 51¶¯Âþ’s Main Campus is home to makerspaces of all shapes and sizes to support graduate students in their studies. These includeÂ
- an acid room for copper etching;Â
- an 18-station wheel throwing room;Â Â
- computer studios;Â
- digital fabrication labs;Â
- high-ceilinged, light-drenched painting studios;Â Â
- hot and cold glass shops;Â
- a media output center;Â
- two large wet labs and darkrooms; andÂ
- wood and metal fabrication shops.Ìý
Spaces also include an outdoor classroom, study nooks, café, spacious green courtyard with natural dye garden, exhibition galleries and —Tyler's visionary center for exhibitions and public programming.ÌýÂ
