Student Opportunities

Whether pursuing a concentration or the Theater Studies Sequence, students will have the opportunity to participate in the department鈥檚 extensive production programs, touching nearly every aspect of a production from backstage to front of house to onstage. Classroom and production work go hand in hand: You鈥檒l apply skills you learn in your coursework by getting involved in putting on a performance. Students develop firsthand experience with costume, lighting and set design, script work, and more.

As a Theater major, you are also required to complete four production contracts. These contracts are backstage work and experiential learning opportunities in various areas of production, such as an assistant house manager, hairdresser, light board operator and set construction.聽
