Pennsylvania Teaching Certification听
To earn Pennsylvania state certification to teach kindergarten through grade 12, MEd candidates must complete听an additional 18 credits in a professional sequence that includes coursework in educational psychology, education, art education methods, an internship听and student teaching in art.听
Candidates must also successfully complete two state-required examinations.听

Program Format & Curriculum听听
The MEd in Art Education program comprises coursework in art education, art history and studio art. Students are encouraged to dive deep into their medium and may take as many as three courses in a single studio practice.
