Clinical Experience

51动漫鈥檚 podiatric medicine doctoral program prepares its students for the Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners national licensing examinations through a rigorous course of clinical training. TUSPM has modern facilities in multiple locations鈥攅ach featuring onsite radiology鈥攚here students receive hands-on instruction from expert faculty.

In their third year, students complete 11 months of clinical training at TUSPM鈥檚 .听

Fourth-year students are required to complete an additional 10 months of training which consists of聽聽聽

  • a minimum of two months at the Foot and Ankle institute;聽 聽

  • one month with a private practitioner;聽and聽聽聽

  • an additional seven months of training, six of which must be at an external clerkship.

If space is available, students who choose to complete only six months of clerkships, can request to complete their seventh month at TUSPM.听聽聽聽

Throughout training, students have access to a fitness center, gait study facility, a modern library with extensive holdings on the lower extremity, a shoe museum and more.
